User agreement for Vevi beta.

Beta status

Vevi is currently a beta product. Features may change, break, be removed, or produce incomplete results. Do not rely on Vevi as a forensic, legal, evidentiary, safety-critical, medical, financial, or emergency verification service.

Vevi can help record and verify certain spatial proof metadata, but no authenticity system can prove every fact about a video, every event outside the camera, or every possible manipulation scenario.

Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the videos, audio, captions, metadata, LiDAR/depth proof data, TrueDepth/face proof data, verification metadata, comments, profile content, and other content you create or upload to Vevi.

By using Vevi, you grant Vevi a limited license to host, store, process, transcode, display, transmit, verify, analyze, moderate, debug, and otherwise operate your content and proof data as needed to provide the service. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where retention is needed for backups, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational reasons.

No sale of biometric or proof data

Vevi does not sell user videos, LiDAR/depth data, TrueDepth/face proof data, biometric data, verification metadata, account data, or private content. Vevi does not sell user data to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties.

Vevi does not use TrueDepth, face-derived, or biometric data to identify users, build facial recognition systems, or train facial recognition models.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for what you record, upload, publish, send, or share through Vevi. You agree not to use Vevi to:

Upload content you do not have the right to use or share.
Violate privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other rights.
Upload illegal, exploitative, hateful, harassing, threatening, non-consensual, or abusive content.
Misrepresent a Vevi verification result or claim that Vevi proves something it does not prove.
Attempt to bypass security, tamper with verification systems, scrape the service, overload infrastructure, or interfere with other users.

Verification limitations

Vevi verification may show that a Vevi Edit Master contains an embedded manifest, signed metadata, payload hashes, LiDAR/depth data, TrueDepth/face proof data, or other proof artifacts. Verification results are technical signals, not a guarantee that all content is true, complete, lawful, safe, or admissible in any proceeding.

Vevi may label captures as verified, unverified, missing proof data, mismatched, tampered, or otherwise limited depending on available data and verification checks.

Moderation and enforcement

Vevi may remove content, limit distribution, suspend accounts, restrict features, preserve records, or take other action if we believe it is necessary to operate the service, protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

Disclaimers

Vevi is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vevi disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vevi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, reputational harm, or content loss.
